| Software Architect | ||||

Description of Position
The applicant selected for this position will work with a team of top-tier engineers and scientists to maintain and enhance our acoustic simulation technology. Projects will include a mix of custom engineering development for specific clients, mostly in the research community, as well as development of technology for our primary products lines, which include acoustic simulation servers, acoustic measurement systems, position tracking interface software, and digital communications systems. Tasks will include software design, algorithm development, implementation in MatLab and C/C++, performance and robustness test design and implementation, online research, and documentation. Significant variety in tasks can be expected, as projects may vary in length from a few weeks to over a year. Most work will take place in the Mountain View / Palo Alto area, although occasional short-duration travel may be required. |
Qualifications
Electrical Engineering / Computer Science graduate sought with an MS degree and a minimum of one year of exceptional work experience. This is a top-level developer position, so a very strong skillset which commands respect from the rest of the team is imperative. Required skills include all of lists A and F. An ideal candidate will also have several skills from lists B, C, and D. Any knowledge or skill from the applications domain list E could be useful and boosts a candidate’s qualification. |

| Audio System Intern | ||||

Description of Position
AuSIM is seeking an intern in music/audio technology for the Fall 2005 semester, either full or part-time. Candidate will be working with a principal investigator in audio system evaluation and experimentation. Candidate should have some research experience. |
Qualifications
Candidate should be at or near graduate level in music technology, EE, CS, perceptual psychology, or related field. Basic programming skills in a high-level language such as C/C++, Matlab, or Labview are required. Interests and familiarity in acoustics, psychoacoustics, and the basics of digital signal processing are required. Experience with psychoacoustic testing and statistical analysis is preferred. Any skills listed in the developer skills list will be a bonus. |
