The field of audio simulation and spatial
sound has been gaining increased attention from many, as the overwhelming benefits
of using sound are being discovered by research conducted at various institutions. Nevertheless, we have only begun to scratch the
surface of the possibilities sound has to offer. There is much research
yet to be done in exploring the full potential of sound and auditory perception. |

| AuSIM participates in sponsored research programs, such as the Small Business Innovation
Research (SBIR) and the Small business Technology TRansfer (STTR) programs sponsored by the
Department of Defense (DoD) and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). By participating in these and other research programs, AuSIM is building strong collaborations
with research and academic institutions, industry partners, and other experts in the field of
